HSU IDOL FINAL!!!

Deadline of registration: by 5:00 p.m. 29 November (Monday).

* Each audience member can earn 3 ECA/CS hours or 1 iGPS unit. Each student helper can earn 6 ECA/CS hours or 2 iGPS units.

Judges:

Dr Elina LEUNG, a devoted philanthropist and a music enthusiast who is actively involved in the development of further education in Hong Kong. Dr Leung is passionate about music, as she has performed with an orchestra at City Hall and at a variety of charity events. As a keen supporter of music, educational, and cultural activities, Dr Leung currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Global Symphony Orchestra (GSO), an advisor to the Hong Kong International Music Academy (HKIMA), and a consultant to the HKIMA Junior Symphony Orchestra.  

Dr Connie WONG,  a renowned “Three-fingered” pianist in Hong Kong. Unlike any other pianists’ musical journeys, Connie has experienced an extraordinary trajectory in her career as a pianist, music educator, and motivational speaker. She was awarded as one of the “Top Outstanding Young Persons” in 2010 and as the “Most Successful Women 2019.”

Awards: 

Students who auditioned for HSU Idol will receive 3 CS/ECA hours, 1 iGPS unit, and 5 IELAS stamps. Finalists will receive an additional 3 CS/ECA hours, 1 iGPS unit, and 5 IELAS stamps.

In addition, finalists will receive book vouchers as follows: 

Champion: $500
1st Runner-Up: $400
2nd Runner-Up: $300
Special Awards (Audience Favourite, Best Technique, Best Stage Presence): $200
All other finalists: $100

If performers are in a group, book vouchers will be split evenly between group members.
