Established by the Department of English of Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, the English Language Centre (ELC) provides a cozy and relaxing environment for students to engage in English language learning. Through specialized workshops, various learning materials, professional consultations, interactive reading chat groups, and user-friendly online resources, the ELC helps students improve their English proficiency, so that they are well-equipped with better integrated English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Students can polish their English language skills through:
- Frequent specialized workshops which aim to boost students’ awareness of English usage in various contexts
- Self-access materials and reference books which cover a great variety of topics, including IELTS preparation, English collocation, English for business writing, English for public speaking, etc.
- English-language movies, music, novels, and magazines
- Easily accessible online resources for students to attain their individual learning goals anywhere and at any time
- Professional teachers from the Department of English who provide students with consultations catered to students’ needs and interests
