Remarks to Students:
- Each consultation session takes place on MS Teams and lasts for 30 minutes.
- The registration of the consultation will be on a first come, first served basis. Each student is allowed to register for one session (30 minutes) only per week.
- The schedule of each week of the consultation sessions will be released on ELC Google Calendar and promoted through ELC Friday Bulletin two weeks in advance. For example, on W1 Friday, the schedule of W2 and W3 will be released. On W2 Friday, the schedule of W3 and W4 will be released. Please register for the consultation at least 3 days in advance.
- Upon your registration, a meeting will be scheduled on the teacher’s and the student’s MS Teams Calendar. Please join the meeting at the registered timeslot.
- Please attend the consultation upon registration. If you fail to join the meeting, please send a message on MS Teams to inform the teacher. In addition, you will not be entitled to register for the consultation in the following week.
- If you do not show up within the first ten minutes of the consultation, the teacher will leave.
- For writing, please present your writing to the teacher during the consultation. The teacher will only provide you with general feedback about your language accuracy. No comments on the content or detailed editing will be provided.
- For speaking, please present the topic(s) you want to practice to the teacher during the consultation. Upon your speaking practice, your teacher will give you general feedback about your language performance.
- For reading and listening, please present the exercises or extracts that you do not understand to the teacher during the consultation.
- When scheduling a consultation, please make sure to specify:
- Your name
- Your year
- Your academic programme
- What you would like to work on during the appointment (listening, reading, speaking, or writing)
